YES I'M INTOLERANT

Many times Christians have been described as intolerant or hateful even uncompassionate by those who do not want to admit that the Word is speaking to them. The Word of God can not be changed and it is given to ALL of us. I stand arm and arm with you in our sins. I am no different than you are. But I will not tell you that your sins are acceptable nor do I expect you to tell me that my sins are acceptable. In God's eyes our sins are the same. Instead I expect and need you to call me a sinner! Together we need to repent. Telling you that you are called to repentance does not make me intolerant, hateful or uncompassionate. It does not make my sins less, but it is what we are called to do. Spread the Gospel of Christ. Facing our sins is uncomfortable, it does not make us all warm and fuzzy inside but in order to be truly repentant we must face them and ask forgiveness. Repentance means we no longer sin. But we fall short and sin again. And again we repent. The struggle is real, the struggle is hard but we must endure.

So today I say if my faith and confession means I am intolerant then...... it's a great day to be INTOLERANT!

Shaking my head.... as I anticipated I have failed at blogging so far. It's been a little over a month since my one and only blog post. What was I thinking? I know I am a huge procrastinator. But I had hoped this would be different. I'm not giving up yet. I still have hope that I will one day defeat this procrastination and it will no longer rule my life.

It's a great day to stop procrastinating. See you in a month LOL

LET IT SHINE

So many times I hear people say the world is changing they are taking God out of everything. While that may appear to be true my question is how can they do that?

Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

If we follow this, is not God in everything we do? So in order to remove God is to remove me.

Removing the Ten Commandments from the courthouse walls does not remove me. Removing the words "In God We Trust" from our currency does not remove me. Banning prayer from our schools does not remove me. So despite the physical and visual removal of God from so many aspects of our live there is still me! I can allow my light to shine every where I go. It cannot be removed. It is there for me to display.

Is your light shining? Are you teaching others how to let their light shine? Or is the light going to die with you? Is your light sleeping in on Sunday morning? Is it relaxing in a recliner on a Wednesday rather than attending Bible study? We need to keep our light fueled with the Word.

So when we say "they" are removing God from everything...... that "they" is US! If we remove ourselves from the Word and stay hidden away our light will be hidden as well. Remain in the Word and keep your families in the Word as well. The only way to remove God from everything is to remove ourselves from the Word. I challenge each of you to keep God in everything.

As in the words of the beloved Children's Bible Song, LET IT SHINE, LET IT SHINE, LET IT SHINE!

It's a Great Day To...... LET IT SHINE

This little light of mine
I'm going to let it shine
Oh, this little light of mine
I'm going to let it shine
This little light of mine
I'm going to let it shine
Let it shine, all the time, let it shine

All around the neighborhood
I'm going to let it shine
All around the neighborhood
I'm going to let it shine
All around the neighborhood
I'm going to let it shine
Let it shine, all the time, let it shine.

Hide it under a bushel? No!
I'm going to let it shine
Hide it under a bushel? No!
I'm going to let it shine
Hide it under a bushel? No!
I'm going to let it shine
Let it shine, all the time, let it shine.

Don't let Satan [blow] it out!
I'm going to let it shine
Don't let Satan [blow] it out!
I'm going to let it shine
Don't let Satan [blow] it out!
I'm going to let it shine
Let it shine, all the time, let it shine

WHY BLOG

I really don't know the answer to this question other than I like to put my thoughts in print. The difference now is my thoughts can now be shared with the virtual world.

OH NO! This could be dangerous. But I'm going for it I'm going to do it!

I'm going to start this with something that I have been mulling over a few days now. I have no idea why these things pop into my head but they do so here I am sharing them.

It's A Great Day To start a blog?!?!?
